NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE WAR A THING OF THE PAST

THE PROBLEM:

Every hour throughout the world, over 1600 people, most of them children, die from hunger and poverty-related diseases, while millions of others struggle to survive without life's basic necessities of clean water, food, shelter, education and health care. Global warming and climate changes are causing ecological disasters in many areas, while the current global military budget is costing approximately US$160 million dollars every hour and increasing.

THE GOAL:

Successfully lobby every nation to progressively transform their military spending, resources, and expertise, into constructive and productive community adavancement industries; including adopting permaculture as one of the world's most necessary and honourable employment activities.

THE IMAGE:

This initiative is represented by the emblem showing a rifle's transformation into an abundant food tree. The design is a modern interpretation of the ancient quote: "...and nations shall beat their swords into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks ... and neither shall they learn war any more." Isaiah

The emblem is a motivational seed for people of all nations to learn about and adopt permaculture principles to help plant and grow increasing quantities of food forests teverywhere possible. This will help build community resilience to climate change and global warming, and provide an abundance of organic edible plants and living foods for everyone.
